Bearing the theme, “EXCELENCIA 2022 - Target Locked: Aiming Towards Human-Centered Designs", The Freehand launches its Excelencia 2022 through Zoom video conference call and Facebook livestreaming today, November 5.
Excelencia 2022 is a one-day webinar that focuses on how designers may include human-centered design into their ideas. Given the different fields of architecture, the webinar was divided into three parts: Architects Aimed Towards Human-Centered Designs tackled by Ar. Armand Michael R. Eustaquio, an architectural accessibility expert; Interior Designers Aimed Towards Human-Centered Designs discussed by IDr. John Dexter "Juwan" Baring, a proud alumni of the College of Architecture, Design, and the Built Environment (formerly College of Architecture and Fina Arts – CAFA) and Founder and Principal Interior Designer of the Vero Interiors and Construction Corporation; and Environmental Planners Aimed Towards Human-Centered Designs talked through by a licensed Envrionmental Planner with a PhD in Environmental Studies, Dr. Ibylou B. Golla.
Attendees in the aforementioned webinar came from Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), University of Santo Tomas (UST) and other universities in the Philippines. The program was attended by 55 participants in the zoom meeting and more than 450 people watched the live stream.
The guest of speakers discussed and shared their knowledge on their expertises. Every after the discussion, attendees asked questions, which the presenters responded to and clarified.
Following the Q&A session, the moderators acknowledged and recognized the guest speakers by giving them with e-certificates, which was followed by the closing remark of The Freehand’s outgoing Editor-in-Chief, Mr. Elvin Rae De Leon. The webinar concluded with the music of PUP Hymn, and attendees completed evaluation and E-certificate forms.
