The Department of Public Works and Highway (DPWH) announces the proposed construction of an extension building of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines - College of Engineering and Architecture (PUP - CEA) this Tuesday, December 5, 2023.
DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan alludes to the report from DPWH National Capital Region Director Lorera M. Malaluan, stating that a formal groundbreaking ceremony was recently conducted for the new four-storey building project of PUP Main - Sta. Mesa Campus, embarking the start of construction activities on the site.
The project, which costs 94.35 million pesos, is a modern building with a floor area of 477 square meters, will provide the needed space and facilities that shall accommodate the needs of both the students and the faculties of the PUP - CEA.
As stated by Director Malaunan, quote:
“When completed, the extension campus will provide additional classrooms, a laboratory, a library, an audio-visual room, a faculty office, and bigger function rooms, complete with air-conditioning system for a more conducive learning environment for engineering and architecture students and faculty members”
The project will be constructed by DPWH NCR and is expected to finish within a period of 360 calendar days or roughly a year.
