The Fool

Justice must prevail, they cry in despair.

A fool, a clown, name it, he didn't care

He seems sincere, he seems like a peer..

Oh, wait, nevermind, he didn't even pretend to be one,

but they cheer.

A fool is shameless, trying to flee

From the truth that once set us free

Untangling the written evidence,

the dark past of the greatest violence

An era of brutality.

What a foolish thing,

To forget the unforgettable is his only wish.

How funny is this guy, living lavishly

"To unite the people", the fool said,

The same people who they also demolish

Is a fool really a fool, if it can fool us?

Ask yourself, the fool might live within us.
