PUPian carry off First Ever TV Correspondent title



Coming from the College of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment, Maxine Loyola Naval, a graduating student of BS in Architecture from PUP-Manila won as the First Ever


AYDA TV Correspondent of the Nippon AYDA TV Correspondence Competition. AYDA TV Correspondence is one of the prestigious design competitions in the country conducted by the Nippon Paint Asia Young Designer Awards.


The said competition includes four videos in total which covers an introduction video, showcase your school video, an interview with PUPians about the competition theme and a video that encourages them to join.


According to naval, she did not set for herself a high expectation so she can focus more on improving and learning along the way and instead just indeed enjoy the competition and do all her best to win. She also left a statement, "Trust the process and keep the passion burning," regarding of what she has learned with her AYDA TV Correspondence experience at the end of the interview.


The Nippon Paint Young Designer Award (NPYDA) first launched in 2008 and aims to inspire interior design and architectural students to apply creativity and innovation in the implementation of design. The Asia Young Designer Awards meanwhile launched in 2008 also, with the goal of inspiring students to be more innovative, creative and socially involved, motivating them to a higher degree of professionalism.
