PUP OSR files academic break extension


PUP-OSR, 21st ANAK PUP Federation placed a petition to PUP administration, and appeals students to respond the survey for an extension of the academic break concerning the first and second semester and view of its extension regarding the academic break.


The office of the Student Regent in conjunction with the ANAK PUP Federation announced about the reports their office had been receiving from the students with the concerns from their official Facebook page (1) not yet officially enrolled because of incomplete encoded grades; (2) students under the correspondence mode was not yet able to receive their instructional materials that hampers their submission of requirements especially in those areas that are relatively have a slow internet connection; (3) there are still deficiencies with the encoded grades that are yet to be cleared; (4) reports and grievances from the students regarding their professor’s basis of grades; and (5) there have been reports from students that their mode of learning for the second semester does not match their answer from the survey conducted through the SIS.


With this, they filed a petition extending the academic break from April 5, 2021 to April 18, 2021 and requested to address the students main concerns before starting the second semester of the school year.


In addition to this they are also gathering data through conducting a survey that contains the students concerns for last semester and for the upcoming semester, also a survey for the support of the students regarding the extension of the academic break. This survey serves as the voice of the student to empower and call out the University’s stakeholders in ensuring a concrete policies and regulations that will pass along the concerns of the different sectors of the University to be a bearer of standard policies across the community of the PUP.
