Johnne Dominique Maniego, a self-taught artist in traditional and digital art and also a graduating student of BS in Architecture in PUP shines at the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) as he wins at this year’s NCCA Galleries Month Digital Poster Competition.
This year’s Museum and Galleries Month (MGM) highlights the theme “Showcasing the Nation, Shaping the Filipino Imagination” giving emphasis to the complex and challenging roles of the museums and galleries in presenting the national narrative as museums are spaces that recount stories and also narrate evolutions of the Filipino culture and identity through its struggles and victories.
MGM is observed every month of October by virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 798, s. 1991 underscoring the importance of arousing national consciousness and pride in our rich Filipino culture and heritage embodying the aspirations of the nation.
