Few months after the College of Architecture and Fine Arts (CAFA) renamed itself to College of Architecture, Design, and the Built Environment (CADBE) as it officially being used starting this Academic Year’s First Semester, CADBEs (aka CAFAtids) will now welcome their new kin under a new program of Bachelor of Science in Environmental Planning (BS EnP).
This was confirmed after the recent update of the College Admission Evaluation of PUP (CAEPUP) where Specific Academic Program Criteria is also being posted as part of the general admission requirements of specific programs inside the University. Freshmen enrollees on the incoming academic year 2021-2022 will see that under CADBE, unlike recent years, a newly opened BS EnP program is about to be offered. With the same minimum grade requirements as its predecessor inside the college like the Bachelor of Science in Architecture (BS ARCHI), and Bachelor of Science in Interior Design (BSID), BS EnP also requires its enrollees to have at least an 85 grade from Grade 10 and 11 for the GWA, Average in Math, Science, and English. BS EnP, as stated, is aligned in STEM SHS Track, and for those who are non-STEM but are interested to enrol in this program, once accepted, they will have to take additional bridging subjects like those non-STEM enrollees who will enroll in BS ARCHI.
Finally, the College will continue to observe an additional skill test which is the Aptitude Test for the interested enrollees. In this test, they will be challenged to execute their creative skills in drawings, analysis, and rendering. Additional tests such as essays and simple mathematical problems may also show up on the said examination. Though specificality of the aptitude test will only be announced once the proper freshmen enrolment starts, it is also the best advice for the CADBE enrollees to practice their drawing skills as early as they can.
