“Taking a break can lead to breakthroughs.” ― Russell Eric Dobda
There will be a few months before we go through the stressful weeks again, but this time it will be during a face-to-face class. Many of us may be exhausted from this kind of set-up of having online classes every day for the past 3 years, so it may be a bit scary because we know there is still COVID today, but then we have to face it and just be more careful as we go through the new normal.
Eventually, we are now going to experience the stressful days of needing to submit a plate within the day in our Visual Techniques subject or… the need to pass some presentation that is due on the same day it was given… because that happens during face-to-face class (take it from me, a 4th-year arki student today). Although those stressful days may come, they will be more bearable, especially if we cope with them with our friends' presence. So, if you will be new to the upcoming F2F (face-to-face) that might be distressing and frustrating to you and may also be overwhelming for you to experience, then here are some recommendations for you to loosen up and be ready to fight again against stress!
If you are a CADBEshie that has a very early schedule, I would say that the open area that has a shed on the side located near the CEA Court is for you since there is also a long concrete seating area in there where you can lay down or take a break for a while especially if you’re waiting for your next class. But I’ll say this, it’s kind of a first come, first serve spot hahaha…
However, if you have more time on your hands to spare, maybe a little walk around a mall is good for you, with that SM Sta. Mesa is just one jeepney ride, where you can make “palamig” (cool yourself) especially if you will be scheduled during hot weather on F2F.
And last but not the least, for our CADBEshies that are at the right age of course that would like to hang out with your friends and do some friendly games, maybe the PB8 Billiards & KTV is your choice, it is located at 329 Pureza just around the corner outside CEA.
Nevertheless, whichever you pick is okay as long as you take a breather from the stress you are experiencing and be with people. Because breaks, according to research, can assist to decrease or prevent stress, sustain performance throughout the day, and lessen the need for a long recuperation at the end of the day. So, remember, it’s okay to take a break! See you sa mga tambayan on F2F CADBEshies!
