PUP waned their chances down after failing to dispatch the taller FEU in a do-or-die Final game today, March 9, 2019 at CCP Gymnasium.
Slow scoring in the first quarter, the team endured early constraints with their plays, echoing a 7 to nothing run in the first minutes of the game. Jerick Baliquig aiding the team, scored his first point in the free throw line. Hustled, the team still prevailed closing the lead to 1, ending first quarter 11- 10 FEU on the lead.
Piercing second half, frustration is in everyone's face as the heated game caused Team Coach, Ar. Eric Baño, to be thrown out of the game due to a technical call. All on their feet, the game resumed with Cool Shades on their own. Crowd were wild but more focused boosting everyone's adrenaline. The lead was cut from 18 to 7 with Vincent Cabillon on post and Christian Almeyda forcing steals. With time as the rival, the team failed to force a stop to the raging FEU ending the game with a 10 pt. lead.
Our athletes and everyone in the team have fired their last shots for this year's FASIA basketball Tournament. The CAFA community witnessed them strive hard for their goal and we are proud!
